The Black Keys

Shit

I'm pretty pissed. I just wrote a really long post and lost it when I tried to publish it.

Withdrawal

Updates may be few and far between. I got hired today to work as a regional campaign person on Hillary's 2006 Senate re-election bid.

My hours will likely be fairly outrageous until early November, after which time I will again be jobless unless I am offered another position.

The headquarters is in Cheektowaga, and I'll be staying at Turck's and/or Joe's place unless I can find a month-to-month living arrangement on my own in the Buffalo area.

It will likely be a fairly interesting development in my life.

Scrumptious

We passed this lovely sign on the way to Ithaca. I was driving Nate's car at the time, and I turned the Civic around because I couldn't possibly pass up the chance to document this.

Oh, and yes, we tried our best.

Risk/Return

Played a little game of Risk with Turck and Joe at Joe's place.

George Carlin on Religion

George Carlin poses a lot of great questions in this clip, many of which I've always wondered about since I started thinking about such things. Reconciling prayer with the idea of "God's Will..." Anyway, it's hilarious.

Regular Schedule

I completed scanning and uploading the non-digital pictures I wanted to include on the blog. Just in time for Turck to show me an album full of different pictures that I would have wanted to include, from roughly 1999-2003 or so. I got to see those last night.

He has shots of Aaron, himself, Joe, and I prior to a Midnight Bowling outing for which we are all dressed in amusing fashion. I appear to be flexing in every one of those pictures, for whatever reason. Disconcertingly, I appear to have been in better shape then.

Nate also has alternate pictures from Allegany, and some from Randy and Laura's wedding, which is six days short of three years ago now.

So perhaps there will have to be another edition of the chronology of film camera pictures coming at a later date.

It is possible that I may have an interview next week for a semi-real job that would last at least through the November elections, but it's not a certainty. And of course I would have to impress the interviewer, which may not be something I'm capable of.

The due date for my annual car insurance premium looms, and I'm not exactly close to having enough to pay for that. It's not looking good. Aside from me not being any closer to moving out for good, which is the real driving force behind obtaining a real job.

Out West '03

Third attempt trying to post this batch.

This was taken at Alison's in Boulder with John and Steve.

This was taken on a drive up to Wyoming in March. John and I headed to Laramie and then over to Cheyenne.

The end of a Wyoming sunset.

The Picture of Coherence

An evening of Bloody Marys led to some interesting pictures at Kristen's place in January 2003.

Someone fell off their chair.

They were quickly retrieved.

No, I don't recall why I was wearing an American Drywall shirt.
