Astronomy Domine - Pink Floyd on BBC TV, 1967

Posting a couple videos in honor of Rick Wright's passing...

Poor Hans Keller doesn't understand 'The Pink Floyd' - "why does it all have to be so terribly loud." I love how he introduces the group; he says that he doesn't want to prejudice his viewers one way or the other, and then goes on to thrash them. It's quite amusing.

Ahh Hans Keller, you were the Borat of your time...
Its funny how later in his career Roger Waters would rely so heavily on quiet orchestrations. It started with "Vera" and by the time "The Final Cut" was released, it was almost all orchestration. Perhaps he took Hans' words to heart and decided he missed out of playing in a string quartet in his youth.

Ha... he does look a bit like Borat, doesn't he? Also looks a bit like the guy in Tomorrow Never Dies... the torture guy... I think his name is 'Stamper.'

I know what you mean, but you have your Bond characters confused. Stamper was Carvers Evil German Henchmen tm. The man who looks like our friend Hans was Dr. Kaufman, played by Vincent Schiavelli. Speaking of Floyd and Bond, if you were to listen to "The Wall" while watching "From Russia With Love" the two will oddly match up. Not really though.

Shoot - Oz, right you are...

Dr. Kaufman was Stamper's mentor in torture... silly mistake on my part.
