If you asked most people in the United States what percentage of our Gross National Product goes to foreign aid, I'm sure you'd get quite a few inaccurate responses. If you asked how much our country gives in comparison to other rich nations, you'd probably get a few more wrong answers.
In reality, the United States of America gives less money proportionally than almost any industrialized nation to foreign aid, less than one percent of our GNP.
The article also touches on what the US has done since our country declared the Darfur situation in Sudan to be genocide. (Virtually nothing.)
